The young architects-in-waiting embarked on a theoretical project in response to one of the needs identified in the Shaping the Future for Queensferry report of April 2014 – improvements to both the context and fabric of the existing South Queensferry library building.

The project was initiated by staff at the university as part of an ongoing commitment of sharing student-led design projects with local communities. The five winning projects have been selected from 64 entries.

The students will be showcasing their work at an open event to be held in the library on Wednesday, March 23 from 6.30 to 8pm.

People will be able to hear more about each winning entry and what inspired the students’ designs.
