Drugs worth thousands seized in Bo'ness

A man has been arrested following the discovery of a cannanbis cultivation in Bo'ness.

Officers attended an address in Grangepans on March 3 and recovered 14 cannabis plants worth an estimated value of £3000.

Following reports that a firearm may have been within the property, local officers were assisted by specialist resources. During the search of the property however no risk to the public was found and officers are not seeking anyone else in connection with this.

A 33-year-old man has been charged with drug offences and breach of the peace and is due to appear in court at a later date.

Sergeant Craig Heron of Grangemouth Police Station said: “Thanks to vital information passed to us by the community, we are confident that this recovery has disrupted the chain of supply in the local area.

“This was a highly successful operation that involved a number of officers and I thank local residents for their patience and cooperation.

“Drugs continue to blight our communities and pursuing those who are involved in this harmful trade remains one of our top priorities.
