The Bainsford-based 8th Falkirk Boys’ Brigade has received a £5000 boost to help improve its summer camps.

The donation was from household goods retailer PerfectHome as part of its newly launched Community Causes scheme. The money will be used to buy a new marquee and replace tents and sports equipment.

The BB company, which meets on Friday nights, provides a wide range of activities from craft to figure marching for around 100 local children aged between four and 18.

Paul Mitchell, 8th Falkirk captain, said: “We want to say a massive thank you to PerfectHome for this donation. The camp is the highlight of the year for the children and with this money we will be able to give them an even better experience than in the past.”
