Under-fire Bandeath Dog Shelter will benefit from a five-mile sponsored walk which sees humans and canines working together for the future of the facility.

Organiser Claire Graham plans to take her four-legged friends from the Underwood Lockhouse in Allandale to the Rosebank in Camelon on July 2. If you can help, email clairelinzi@icloud.com for more information.

Due to withdrawal of funding from Clackmannanshire Council and Police Scotland, the future of the Throsk shelter hangs in the balance.

An action committee has been set up to campaign to save the shelter and Buddies of Bandeath, as it is known, is looking to register as a charitable organisation so it can also attract vital funds to help the shelter.
