Border Force officers seized over £12,000 of fake Disney and Marvel children’s suitcases and tables at Grangemouth Docks last Thursday.
The 290 imitations shipped in from China were detected before they could be transported to an address in Glasgow.
Border Force Scotland assistant director Adam Scarcliffe said: “These were poor quality fakes of hugely popular products. Counterfeiters will look to capitalise and cash in wherever there is a demand.
“We urge consumers to be careful with their purchases and our advice would always be that if the price appears too good to be true – either at a car boot sale, a market stall or online – it probably is.”
Anyone who has been sold counterfeit goods or knows someone who is selling them should contact Action Fraud on 0300 123 2040.
