Laurieston Spiritualist Church will have Billy Black from Livingston as guest medium for its service in the Old Folks Welfare Hall in Mary Street on Monday, February 24. Doors open 6.45 p.m., service starts 7.30 p.m. Everyone welcome.

Scouts and Guides
This year the Beavers, Cubs and Scouts along with the Rainbows, Brownies and Guides are having a joint Founders Day/Thinking Day Celebration Service in the Laurieston Primary School on Sunday, February 23 from 11 a.m. - 12.30 p.m. with light refreshments afterwards. We would like to invite all parents’ family and friends and past members of Scouting or Guiding to come along and join us.
Get your body and mind in shape! The local RSCDS Beginners Class will meet in Laurieston Primary School from 6.45 to 7.45 on a Tuesday night (no partner required and accompanied children are welcome). The general class follows from 7.45 to 9.15pm. For further details ring Alison on (01324) 631363.
On door duty on Sunday, February 23, are Mrs A. Gardiner, Mr J. Christie, Mr J. McLellan and Mr G. Ferguson. On tea duty are I. Strathie, J. Sherratt, J. Letham and E. Gillies. The flowers for this service are being donated by Nancy Hay. There will be a baptism in the church on Sunday, February 23. On Tuesday, February 25, the Guild welcome M. Ross who will speak about Finding Faith. All welcome to the halls at 2.30 p.m. Brightons Parish Church Guild is having a fundraising fashion show on Monday, February 24 at 7.30 p.m. All proceeds will go to Strathcarron Hospice. Tickets cost £5. The annual congregational meeting will be held after the morning service on Sunday, March 2. World Day of Prayer Service will take place in Slamannan Church on Friday, March 7 at 7 p.m. Please study the photo on the inner door of the church and provide a caption at £1 a try in aid of the refurbishment fund.
There will be a concert in the Old Folks Hall on Wednesday, March 12, at 2 p.m. when Alistair Allen will come along to entertain us.Tickets are £3 or pay at the door.
