Denny man pronounced dead at scene of road traffic collision

The 52-year-old grandfather who died following a road traffic incident has now been named by police.

Tam Neil, from Denny, lost his life as a result of a collision involving a Volkswagen Golf car and a Suzuki motorcycle in Roman Road, Plean just after 1pm on Sunday, September 13.

Mr Neil’s family requested Police Scotland release a statement on their behalf.

The family said: “Tam Neil, devoted husband of Sharon Neil. Loving son, brother, stepdad, papa, uncle and father of two daughters, Jacqueline and Amanda. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.

“We would ask that you respect the family's privacy at this time to allow us to come to terms with what has happened.”

Sergeant David Ross, of Stirling Road Policing Unit, said: “Our thoughts remain with the family during this extremely difficult time.”
