Denny Old Parish Church garden fete takes place on Saturday. Gates open at 1 p.m. There will be the usual wide range of stalls and of course the tearoom. The halls will be open tomorrow (Friday) in the afternoon and from 6 p.m. in the evening and from 9 p.m. on Saturday morning to receive donations for the various stalls. If you could spare some time to come along and help with the setting up this would be greatly appreciated. Also please note that if you are making a monetary donation and are a tax payer, by filling in the Gift Aid form the church can then claim the tax back on your gift.
Dunipace Primary School summer fete takes place on May 28 from 6.30-8 p.m. There will be stalls, a bouncy castle and a raffle - donations for which are needed.
Worship on Sunday is at 11 a.m. and will be led by Sandra Mathers. Creche facilities will be available, and Sunday Club meets at the same time. This is Christian Aid Week and envelopes are available in the church if required. The Lunch Box will be open on Monday from 11 a.m.-1.30 p.m., serving soup, sandwiches, tea/coffee and home baking. All welcome. The Walking Group has started again on Tuesday evenings, meeting at the church at 7 p.m. You are most welcome to come along and join the group, the walks are gentle and suitable for everyone to enjoy. If it is raining at 6.30 p.m. the walk will not take place. The Heart and Soul event takes place in Princes Street Gardens, Edinburgh, on Sunday, May 17. On Sunday Rev. Ray Thomson will lead worship at 10.30 a.m. Kidzone take part at the start of the service then move to the halls to enjoy their own activities. Creche facilities are also available. The Wednesday Welcome is open from 10 a.m. for fellowship over tea or coffee followed by a short service from 11.15-11.45 a.m. Open Door is on from 10.30 a.m.-1 p.m. today (Thursday). Come along and enjoy a snack. All welcome.
The church anniversary commences on Saturday at 7.30 p.m. with a film night entitled ‘God’s Not Dead’. Anyone who would like to bring a carry out before the film should meet at the church at 6.30 p.m. There is no charge for the film and it is open to all who would like to attend. The guest speaker on Sunday at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. will be Rev. John Greenshields from the Baptist Union. Rainbow Hour for over-60s meets this Tuesday at 2 p.m. for the fortnightly informal meeting and afternoon tea.

The current round of Green Action Projects in Falkirk has now come to an end. It’s now time to celebrate and applaud all those who have taken part - they have worked hard, given their time, their ideas and their skills, learning and sharing, no matter what the weather, over the past few months. The Green Action celebration and awards ceremony will take place on Thursday, May 21 from 10 a.m.-2.30 p.m. at the Scottish Waterways Trust’s offices at New Port Downie, by the Falkirk Wheel.
