Westpark Church

The Rev. David Wandrum will lead the service on Sunday at 10.30am. During the summer months children will take part at the start of the service then go out to the hall where there will be activities for all ages, including a creche. On Wednesday evenings from 7-8pm there will be a vestry hour so anyone who wishes can meet with the minister. Pin the Tail Holiday Club for children of all ages will be held from July 20-31. From July 20-24 it will be in Haggs Church from 10.30 am-12.30 pm. and from July 27-31 in Denny Westpark Halls also from 10.30am - 12.30pm. Evening activites will all be held in Westpark Hall. During Mission Fortnight there will be a prayer journey at the front of the church with the theme ‘Mary Slessor’. This will be prepared by July 15 and can be visited during the mission and on Wednesday and Sundays. The congregation are invited to sponsor Graham Peattie for his sponsored walk from Kirkintilloch to The Falkirk Wheel, all proceeds to church funds. Wednesday Welcome opens from 10.30am for teas/coffees and soup lunch following the service from 11.45am until 1.30pm up to and including July 15.

Baptist Church

There will be only one service on Sunday at 11am to which visitors are warmly welcomed. This will be followed by a time of fellowship with packed lunches. Tea/coffee and juice will be provided.

Masonic News

The 225th anniversary celebrations are on August 22 with a rededication ceremony conducted by the Provincial Grand Lodge of Stirlingshire followed by a dinner. The cost is £10 and 176 members will have priority for places until Wednesday. On that evening an informal meeting will be held in the lodge premises at 8pm and all 176 members interested in assisting in the preparation of the premises for the 225th landmark are invited to attend. Special medals have been struck and are also now available and a brochure is to be produced. Please attend on Wednesday if you can give of your time and talents.

Wine Club

The monthly meeting of Denny Wine Club takes place in Broompark Community Centre tomorrow night (Friday) at 8pm and subsequently on the second Friday of each month. Come and learn all aspects of winemaking from basic to advanced levels. New members are always welcome.

Line Dancing

Next class takes place tomorrow (Friday) in the Broompark Centre from 1-2 p.m. Beginners and improvers welcome.

Step Forth

Step Forth are delighted to have a new walk in Denny. It leaves from the community flat in Bridge Crescent at 6.30pm. The walk will be lead by our walk leaders who will show you new paths in the area. Walks are open to everyone and are free, so if you want to get out in the fresh air, meet other people and discover new places to walk come along.
