Denny Old

Worship on Sunday is at 11 a.m. and will be led by Sandra Mathers. Creche facilities are available. The church walking group meets on Tuesday evening and leaves the church at 7 p.m. You are welcome to come along and enjoy a gentle walk for about an hour. The balances of £129 should be paid by Sunday, August 3 and at the very latest, Wednesday, August 6 for the trip to Melrose. Linda will be in the hall between 10 a.m. and noon. Due to a cancellation a double room is available. If you are interested, please speak to Linda as soon as possible.

WASP classes

New classes are on offer at Denny Wider Access to School Project. Registration is on Thursday, August 28 between 10 a.m. and noon in the school assembly hall and 6.30 - 8.30 p.m. in the project wing. Masonic news

A curry and karaoke night plus disco has been organised at the Masonic Hall on Saturday. The menu will consist of a starter and main dish. August 16 sees the return of Gaberlunzie and tickets can be reserved for this cabaret at the curry night.

Citizens Advice

The bureau is located above Clydesdale Bank at 24 Duke Street, Denny and is open today (Thursday), Monday and Wednesday between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. and Friday 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. A legal clinic is held every four weeks on Wednesdays by appointment only (4-5 p.m.). Outreach clinics are held at the Banknock Community Centre today (Thursday) from 9.30 a.m. - 11.30 a.m. and at Bridge Crescent Community Flat on Tuesday from 9.30 a.m. until noon. Telephone service (Citizens Advice Direct) available Monday-Friday from 9 a.m. - 8 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. on (01324) 823118.

Dunipace Juniors

The annual Dunipace Juniors invitational tournament takes place at Westfield Park, Denny, this weekend. The first match between Dunipace and Falkirk Juniors kicks-off at 12.30 p.m. on Saturday followed by Sauchie and Maryhill at 3.30 p.m. The final will be played on Sunday at 3.30 p.m. with the third place play-off at 12.30 p.m. Admission is £4 for adults, £2 for OAPS and free for those under-16.

Line Dancing

Next class takes place tomrrow (Friday) in the Broompark Centre from 1-2 p.m. Beginners and improvers welcome.
