The Crafty Café meets on Saturday from 10 a.m.-noon. You are welcome to come along and take part in the crafts or just enjoy a chat over tea/coffee and cake in the café. A reminder that the Forth Road Bridge walk takes place on Saturday from 2 p.m., and there is still time to sponsor those taking part – please see Janet. Also there are still copies of the ‘Scottish Songs’ quiz available priced £1, all monies raised go to Christian Aid. Last Sunday Charlotte Rose Wilson was welcomed by baptism into the fellowship of the Church. The sacrament of Holy Communion will be celebrated this Sunday at 11 a.m. Creche facilities will be available. Please note there will be no service on Wednesday evening. The Lunch Box will be open on Monday from 11 a.m.-1.30 p.m., serving soup, sandwiches, tea/coffee and home baking. All welcome. The Girls Brigade meets on Monday at 6.30 p.m., when they will be having their display night. All are invited to come along. The Guild outing this year is on Saturday, June 6 and will visit St Andrews via Falkland. The cost is £26 and there are still two places available. Anyone interested should contact Janet Rhodes or Jean Weir as soon as possible. All intimations for Sunday worship to be with Janet Rhodes by tonight (Thursday) at the latest.
On Sunday the Rev. Ray Thomson will lead worship at 10.30 a.m. Kidzone take part at the start of the service then move to the halls to enjoy their own activities. Creche facilities are also available. The Wednesday Welcome is open from 10 a.m. for fellowship over tea or coffee followed by a short service from 11.15 - 11.45 a.m. Please note that the Open Door is open from 10.30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on a Thursday. The Point youth clubs meet tomorrow (Friday) at 6 p.m. for juniors and at 7.30 p.m. for senior pupils. The guest speaker on Sunday at the 11 a.m. service will be a representative of CSW Missionary Society. The guest speaker at the 6 p.m. service will be Paul Ford from Dunblane. Visitors are always welcome. The children and young people meet during the morning worship and a crèche is available during all services. Ladies of the Monday Mix are invited to meet at Elsa Mitchell’s home this Monday at 7.30 p.m. to discuss future meetings.
A final meeting of Lodge St. Andrew, Denny & Loanhead, No. 176 for the current session takes place tonight (Thursday) at 7.30 p.m. The business will include a ballot for three applicants and the mark degree carried out by the lodge office bearers. The 225th anniversary of the granting of the lodge charter will be celebrated with a rededication ceremony and dinner on Saturday, August 22 and 176 members will have first priority for the limited number of places available. The ceremony will be at 3 p.m. and the dinner will follow immediately after. Any members interested in attending should reserves their places as soon as possible.

Tonight (Thursday) from 6-8 p.m. the Community Green Initiative has organised a litter pick along and around the River Carron path network. Meet at the Carronvale green bridge just down from St Patrick’s Primary, Denny. Equipment and refreshments provided. All help, no matter for how long, will be appreciated. A special edition of ‘New Leaf News’, dedicated to Michelle Miller-Allen, is now available.
