* Baptist Church

The guest speaker this Sunday at 11am and 6pm is Douglas Ingles from East Kilbride. Visitors are always welcome. The Summer Sunday School will be available for young children at 11.20am.

Denny Old

The Worship on Sunday is at 11am and will be led by David Nicholson. Creche facilities will be available. The Walking Group meets at the Church on Tuesday at 7pm. (If it is raining at 6.30pm the walk will not take place). You are most welcome to come along and join the Group, the walks are gentle and suitable for everyone to enjoy. The Holiday Club for children and adults will take place next week, Monday to Friday from 10am -noon. All ages welcome to come along and take part in the many activities on offer. All intimations for Sunday Service to be with Janet Rhodes by Thursday night at the latest.

Kids Knitting

A Krafty Kidz Knitting Class with the children from Denny Primary School has begun. In order to keep the class running, organisers are looking for any wool or knitting pin donations that you don’t use anymore. Knitting Class

A knitting class for adults runs on a Tuesday afternoon from 1 - 3 pm in Denny Community Education Centre. If you have some free time on you hands and would like to join us please contact Debbie or Annkale on 01324 504260 for further information.

Hillwalking Club

Polmont Hillwalking Club will be climbing up to four munros near Kinlochleven on Sunday, August 9. The munros will be Na Gruagaichean, Binnein Mor, Binnein Beag, Sgurr Eilde Mor. Line Dancing

Line dancing on Tuesday, August 11 from noon - 1pm at St Helen’s Church Hall, High Street, Bonnybridge, £4.00 beginners and improvers welcome. Afternoon Tea

Denny Westpark Church is holding an afternoon tea along with a short film by Bill Hall in aid of the new minibus fund. Come along to the McTaggart and Chalmers Halls on Monday, August 17, from 1.30pm. Tickets are £4. All welcome.

A cabaret night featuring Barbara Bryceland will be held in the Masonic Lodge, Denny, on Friday, August 14. Contact Helen Hastie to reserve places. Lodge St. Andrew No. 176 is celebrating its 225th year and a re-dedication ceremony will be held on Saturday, August 22 starting at 2pm. It will be followed by a dinner costing £10 and with places limited members are asked to make sure payment is made prior to the day.

Citizens Advice

The bureau is located above Clydesdale Bank at 24 Duke Street, Denny and is open today (Thursday), Friday, Monday and Wednesday from 10am-2pm. A legal clinic is held every four weeks on Wednesdays by appointment only (4-5pm). Telephone service (Citizens Advice Direct) available Monday-Friday from 9am-8pm and Saturday 10am-2pm on (01324) 823118. John McNally, MP will hold a surgery in the bureau from 10am – 11am every second Friday of the month commencing August 14.

Step Forth

There is a new walk in Denny. It leaves from the community flat in Bridge Crescent at 6.30pm. The walk will be lead by our walk leaders who will show you new paths in the area. Walks are open to everyone and are free, so if you want to get out in the fresh air, meet other people and discover new places to walk come along.
