IN PICTURES: Respect paid on Armed Forces Day

The town of Grangemouth paid tribute to the personnel who have served and who are currently serving in the armed forces last weekend.

On Saturday afternoon a parade of veterans, cadets and other services personnel marched through the town centre to mark the Falkirk area’s annual Armed Forces Day – a chance for residents to show their respect and appreciation to the men and women who have protected and continue to protect these shores.

Provost Pat Reid was among the marchers, who set off from the Royal British Legion Club in Dundas Street just after noon and then proceeded through the town before coming back to the club for a reception.
