Cyclist “seriously injured” after Plean hit and run

A 51-year-old cyclist has been seriously injured after a hit and run in Plean.

The victim was knocked off his pedal bike by a dark-coloured car at the junction with the C9 Roman Road and Cadgers Loan at around 7.55 p.m. on Friday, March 27.

The cyclist was taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital and the police are now appealing for witnesses.

Sergeant Andrew Thomson said: “I am keen to hear from anyone who was travelling on the Roman Road or Cadgers Loan near to the village of Plean around the time of the collision.

“The cyclist suffered some painful injuries and the driver of the other vehicle failed to vehicle.”
