An unprovoked assault took place on a woman in broad daylight
Police are appealing for information to track down the attacker after the 32-year-old was assaulted between 5pm and 5.30pm in Camelon last Friday.
The woman was outside 233 Carmuirs Avenue when the incident took place.
A man walked up to her and carried out the assault before walking off in the director of Mariner Street.
He returned a short time later then walked off along Carmuirs Avenue.
The man is described as white, late 30s, around 5ft 8ins, medium build with short fair hair.
He was wearing a dark blue zip-up cardigan with a red t-shirt and dark jeans.
Sergeant Liam Harman said: “We are appealing to the public in Camelon to assist us in identifying the male responsible for this unprovoked assault.
“We are conducting enquiries such as house to house and are trying to establish if there is any CCTV that may have captured the incident.”
