Woman attacked and verbally abused near The Falkirk Wheel

A woman was assaulted and verbally abused as she walked along a path near The Falkirk Wheel.

The 28-year-old had been walking alongside the canal close to the attraction’s visitor centre at about 6.45pm last Wednesday when she was approached by a group of youths.

The group, which contained four males and two females thought to be aged between 11 and 20, then verbally abused the woman using sexualised language and attacked her.

Two of the culprits were on black and white bikes.
