The incident happened in Cedar Road, Banknock just after 1am this morning when residents were alerted to the break-in and their cars being driven away
A family member, who did not want to be named, said: “I saw my dad’s car lights go on and I realised something was wrong. I pulled the blind up further and looked out to see my dad’s car being driven off and then my car too.
"I went out and saw glass everywhere – they had thrown a slab through our window to get in and get the car keys. Our house keys were lying on the ground in our drive.”
Police reportedly arrested a man who had driven the three car thieves to the address.
One of the stolen vehicles was later found abandoned in Glasgow.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 1.10am on Wednesday, May 12, officers were called to the Cedar Road area of Banknock following the theft of three cars. An Audi Q7 has since been recovered, while a Volkswagen Jetta and a Vauxhall Insignia remain outstanding.
“A 25-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the investigation and further enquiries remain ongoing."
