After tearing off a CCTV camera outside the home improvements store, the pair raided the till, taking the float money, which totalled around £200.

A witness walking across the car park at nearby B&Q heard a smashing noise but by the time he crossed the car park, the thieves were making their getaway. However the incident was captured on CCTV.

Manager Mark Holmes said the robbery was over in seconds. He said: “We managed to capture them on the internal CCTV and the pair, particularly the bigger guy, are distinctive.

“They made off with the money from the till. Luckily they didn’t take anything else, like my iPad that was sitting on the desk or try to get into the safe, but they caused a lot of damage.

“Hopefully someone recognises them and passes on their details to the police.”

The thinner man was wearing an Adidas tracksuit and Nike Air Max trainers and the heavier man, a hooded sweatshirt.

If you recognise the robbers, call Police Scotland on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
