Two men steal laptop bag from woman

Police have launched an investigation after a woman’s laptop bag was stolen in Stoneywood.

The incident took place around 3.10pm yesterday on the B818 near to Old Mill Way.

A 46-year-old woman was approached from behind by two men, who told her to give them her laptop bag.

One of the men then put his hand on her shoulder and took the bag from her.

No violence was used during the incident and the woman was not hurt.

The suspects are described as white and aged between 16 and 20 years old.

At the time of the theft both men were dressed in dark clothing and one of them had his hood up.

Detective Inspector Rob Andrews, of Forth Valley CID, said: “This was a distressing incident for the woman involved who was thankfully unhurt as a result of this theft.

“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances and I would urge anyone who may have any information to come forward.

“We are especially keen to speak to anyone who may have seen the men described in the area around the time of the robbery, if you think you saw them please contact us.”
