Sheriff Derek Livingston said he would wait another five minutes for Christopher Roy (35), who told his defence solicitor he was “on his way”.
Roy, 9 Tay Street, Langlees, previously pleaded guilty to theft at The Range, Falkirk Central Retail park, on February 8.
In the end Sheriff Livingston waited 20 minutes for Roy – who still failed to turn up – and then granted a warrant for his arrest.
