Three deliberate car fires started in Falkirk area

Police were alerted to three deliberate car fires in Falkirk district over the weekend.

Vehicle blazes in Burnbrae Gardens in Falkirk and George Street in Larbert were reported at 1.45pm on Sunday.

Officers were then informed of a car fire in Gannel Drive, Maddiston, at around 1am on Monday.

Chief Inspector Chris Stewart said: “Inquiries into the circumstances surrounding all three fires, which are believed to be have been wilful, are ongoing.”
