Thieves seize chance to steal Harley-Davidson motorbike

A Harley-Davidson motorbike was stolen when the owner left it by the roadside to get fuel.

The theft took place on the road from Shieldhill to Slamnannan between 7.15pm and 8pm on Saturday, February 25, but was only recently reported to police,

The motorbike has a distinctive chrome frame with a gold-coloured tank and mudguards, and bears the registration SL16 WNC.

As it had run out of fuel it is likely to have been lifted by a van or other large vehicle.

A police spokesman said: “The motorcycle was only left for a short period of time while the owner went to collect fuel.

“Although this was on a rural road, I believe someone will have seen the bike being taken or moved on to another vehicle and not thought anything of it.”
