Teens allegedly claimed to have COVID-19 during arrest over Falkirk robbery

Two teenagers claimed they had COVID-19 while being arrested in connection with a robbery in Falkirk.

The men, who are 18 and 19 years old, alledgedly used a knife to attack a victim at a home in the town last Wednesday afternoon.

Police say the victim was uninjured by the duo, who were traced and charged with assisting arrest, assautling police by headbutting, being racially abusive and claiming to have coronavirus.

The pair appeared at Falkirk Sheriff Court last Thursday and were remanded in custody.
