Teens aged 13 and 15 reported over £2000 ecstasy haul found in Carronshore and Denny

Two teenage boys – aged 13 and 15 – have been reported to the Children's Reporter after police uncovered £2000 worth of MDMA.

The drug haul, made up of tablets and crystalised ecstasy, was discovered at two addresses in Carronshore and Denny today (Friday).

The pair have also been made subject to vulnerable persons reports.

Inspector Liam Harman, of the Larbert Community Policing Team, said: “This demonstrates our commitment locally to tackling drugs and reducing the harm caused by them.”

Chief Inspector Chris Stewart said: 'It is important to reassure the local community that it is unusual for us to recover drugs from young people of this age in the Falkirk area, particularly in such quantities.

“This was an intelligence-led operation which was targeted on specific individuals based on information we had received. The recovery of these drugs will ensure other young people are kept safe.

“We will work with partners, in particular education, to do all we can to divert young people away drugs.”
