Ripped off his indicator and mirror in rage

A couple's drunken row resulted in an indicator stalk and mirror being damaged as the pair struggled together inside a car.

Mooney damaged the indicator of her partners car

Williamina Mooney (48) did not want her partner to leave in his vehicle so she took drastic action, getting in the car and wrecking the mirror and indicator.

Appearing at Falkirk Sheriff Court last Thursday, Mooney previously admitted causing reckless damage totalling £30 to the vehicle at her 45 Braemar Drive, Falkirk home on November 17 last year.

The court heard the row between the couple came to the attention of the police because Mooney’s son called them.

Procurator fiscal depute Siobhan Monks said: “An argument between the couple degenerated into a fight and he made his way out to the car, where they continued fighting with each other.”

Sheriff Derek Livingston fined Mooney £120 and ordered her to pay £30 compensation.
