Residents forced to flee flats after vandals start fire

Police officers are on the trail of the teens who set a fire at a block of flats and forced the evacuation of residents.

The incident happened at the rear of premises at 28 to 58 Glenbervie Road, Grangemouth on Sunday night and the fire service got residents out of their homes until the fire was extinguished. Thankfully the fire was contained and no person was injured.

A group of teenagers were seen outside the flats when the fire was discovered.

A police spokesman said: “A parked car was also damaged on Glenbervie Road and again, a group of young persons are believed responsible. A positive line of enquiry is being followed by officers.

“However, we ask anyone with information contact police by calling 101. Please use reference no. CF0173761116.”
