Redding man who breached bail 'just came doon to see the dugs'

A man breached his bail conditions not to see his former partner and claimed he had just been in her premises to see the dogs.

Robert Henderson (52) appeared at Falkirk Sheriff Court last Thursday having admitted breaching his non-harassment order in School Road, Redding, on March 15.

Nhabeela Rahmatullah, procurator fiscal depute, said: “Police received an anonymous call stating the accused was within the address with the woman and the accused had been on bail conditions not to be there and there as there was a non-harassment order in place.

“Police attended at the address and said they required to check the property. They saw the accused within the rear garden of a neighbour’s address.

"He said ‘fair enough, I’m caught red handed – I just came doon to see the dugs’.”

The court heard Henderson 47 Avontoun Park, Linlithgow, had breached the order a month after it was made.

Sheriff Christopher Shead ordered him to complete 160 hours unpaid work within 12 months.
