A trio of racist youths carried out a drunken assault on a man who was just trying to deliver a takeaway meal.
One of the teens, a 17-year-old from Stenhousemuir who cannot be named for legal reasons, set upon the man in a common close in Glynwed Court, Falkirk.
Appearing at Falkirk Sheriff Court last Thursday, the teenager previously pled guilty to the assault he committed on November 14 last year.
Procurator fiscal depute Siobhan Monks said the youngsters initially appeared helpful, but soon began hurling racist abuse and then attacked the man, leaving him with bruising to his neck and swelling to his right eye.
The teen got a supervised nine-month community payback order with the condition he complete 80 hours unpaid work within four months.
