Racist thug goes on spitting rampage in Falkirk

A police officer was forced to endure the filthy actions of a racist who spat at him as he tried to deal with him for throwing a shopping trolley at a window.

Patrick Reid (20), Incyhra Place, Grangemouth, fell out with pals during a drinking session and left in a huff. However he soon returned to the premises in Firs Street, Falkirk.

When they would not let him in he threw a shopping trolley at the window of the property before opening it and climbing in.He proceeded to attack a woman, grabbing her and repeatedly punching her on the head and body.When police officers arrived at the scene, Reid kicked one of them and spat at him, and then made a racist remark at another officer.Reid appeared from custody at Falkirk Sheriff Court earlier today via video link from Polmont Young Offenders' Instutiution, Reid, of Inchyra Place, admitted the assaults, threatening behaviour and racially-aggravated breach of the peace he committed on April 15.Sheriff Charles Macnair QC rejected a call from Reid's solicitor, Murray Aitken, to release his client on bail.Deferring sentence, he remanded Reid in custody until June 11 for reports.Sheriff Macnair said: "These are very serious offences."
