£2000 bill at Stenhousemuir school nursery as vandals strike for third time

Heartless vandals caused more than £2000 of damage at a Falkirk district nursery.

A gazebo was ruined and blood-stained tissues and cigarette ends were left within the grounds of Stenhousemuir Primary School’s nursery area during the latest incident.

The vandalism took place between Friday, October 2 and Monday, October 5.

The nursery garden was thoroughly checked and cleaned by staff before children were allowed to use the space.

Equality group furious over racist posters in Falkirk town centre

A tweet posted by the school read: “We are so sad and upset to report that for the third time this term, our nursery garden has been vandalised.

“The people choosing to vandalise our nursery space are ruining the resources and experiences that our staff and children have worked so hard to develop.”

Sergeant Dave Mackay said: “The school has been subject to several incidents of vandalism over recent months and enquiries are ongoing to identify the person(s) responsible.”
