Craig Lees (39) appeared from custody at Falkirk Sheriff Court via video link on Thursday having pled guilty to the theft he committed at a premises in Sinclair Place, Bainsford on March 6 last year. He also admitted failing to attend court on April 3, 2019.

The court heard Lees, who has been a drug addict since he was 16, had taken himself off to a religious retreat in Stoke-on-Trent to “help him with his problems”.
