The court heard the car Paprot was driving while drunk belonged to his girlfriend and he was currently serving a prison sentence for causing serious injury by dangerous driving.

Sheriff Derek Livingston said: “You were already on bail for an offence which involved dangerous driving and drinking and here you are again.”

He sent Paprot to prison for four months and banned him from driving for two-and-a-half years.
