Bradie, who came from the Edinburgh area, was found guilty last month for his offences which had been committed against three boys in Falkirk in the 1990s.

Detective Constable Debbie Reid of Forth Valley CID said: "We would like to thank the victims who found the courage to come forward and report these horrendous offences to police.”

She added: "Police Scotland would also like to reiterate and reassure other potential victims of these kinds of crime that, regardless of the passage of time, any reports will be taken seriously and every effort will be made to bring offenders to justice."
