Police issue warning following Forth Valley bogus workmen reports

Police are warning Forth Valley residents to be wary of bogus workmen following a series of reports.

According to officers, scammers have been targeting those who live in the area by claiming work is needed on roofing, guttering and driveways.

The bogus callers have also been requesting payment in advance.

Anyone who’s unsure or feels unsafe is advised to ask such callers to come back and have a friend or family member present on their return.

Those who believe they’ve been a scam victim should call 101.
