Police investigating Dennyloanhead fire searching for taxi driver

Police investigating a wilful fire-raising in Dennyloanhead are looking to speak to a taxi driver in connection with the incident.

The crime was committed at a house in Lyoncross at around 3.20am on Saturday, May 9.

Nobody was injured, however, the property was substantially damaged and the fire is being treated as deliberate.

Following inquiries, officers are seeking to identify the driver of a grey or silver estate taxi who was in the area around 3am.

Detective Constable Colin McInally, of Falkirk CID, said: "Our inquiries have been ongoing since this incident was reported to us and we are keen to speak to a taxi driver seen in the area.

"We are hopeful the driver may be able to help us with our inquiries and might possibly have dash cam footage. I'd also appeal to any other drivers who were in the area between 2.30am and 3.30am on Saturday, 9 May to contact us."
