Police hunt Polmont sex attackers

A woman was injured after being sexually assaulted near Grandsable Cemetery in Polmont.

Police are now appealing for witnesses after new information came to light about the serious attack which took place around 3 p.m. on Wednesday, April 2.

They want to trace two men who were seen in the area.

The first is described as 44 years, 5ft 4in, medium build, thinning grey/brown hair with teeth missing. He was wearing a black waist-length zipped rainjacket, dark jeans and white trainers.

The second was described as 45 years, around 5ft 6in, heavy build, shaved short, dark hair and clean-shaven. He was wearing dark jeans and zipped jacket with dark gloves.

Detective Inspector Hugh Louden, who is leading the enquiry, said: “This attack happened close to a busy junction and we are looking for anyone with any information to get in touch.

“The victim is very distressed, suffering injuries from this attack and we are keen to trace the perpetrators as soon as possible.”
