Police hunt for man after train assault

British Transport Police have released a CCTV image of a man who may be able to assist with enquiries following an assault on a train.

The incident happened on the 17.52 service between Glasgow Queen Street and Dunblane on Saturday, August 13.

The man is in his mid to late 20s, about 5ft 10ins with short brown hair. He was wearing a blue jumper, white t-shirt, blue/grey jacket with white shoulder panels and a grey lined hood.

He got off the train when it arrived at Stirling Railway Station.

Detective constable Nick Ritchie, officer in charge of the enquiry, said: “I am appealing to anyone who recognises the man shown in the photograph to contact me as a matter of urgency.”
