Police hunt Denny bookies robber

A stockily-built thug threatened a member of staff at a bookies shop in Denny last night before stealing cash.

Now police are urging anyone with information about the robber to come forward.

The man stuck at the William Hill shop in Stirling Street just before 9pm last night, and is thought to have been seen in Herbertshire Street a short time later.

The culprit is described as white, aged 20 to 30, around 5ft 9ins with a stocky build.

He was wearing a khaki green jacket with orange or red vertical lines under the arms, dark blue jeans, a green scarf covering his face, gloves and had a carrier bag.

Detective Inspector Michelle Findlay said: “No one was injured but this was a frightening experience which left a staff member understandably very shaken.

“As part of our ongoing investigation, we’d urge anyone who was in the area around this time and saw the man to get in touch.
