A 49-year-old Bonnybridge man has been reported missing after failing to return home from a bike ride.

Bernard Burrall was last seen leaving his home in Emma’s Way at around noon on Sunday and has not been heard from since.

Police officers are now appealing for anyone with knowledge of Bernard’s whereabouts to make themselves known.

Bernard is described as being of Afro-Caribbean appearance, 5ft 7ins tall with an athletic build, brown eyes, short black hair and speaks with a London accent.

He was last seen wearing dark-coloured shorts and jacket, a small black ‘Camel Back’ rucksack, cycle helmet and was riding his black ‘Giant’ mountain bike.

Inspector John Kellett said: “Bernard’s disappearance is very out of character and we are keen to establish his whereabouts as soon as possible and bring him home.

“Anyone who believes they have seen him since Sunday afternoon, or who has information that can help us locate him is asked to contact police immediately.

“In addition, I would also urge Bernard to get in touch with family, friends, or with police, and let us know he is safe.”

Those with information can contact Police Scotland on 101.
