Offender sent threatening texts to ex in Falkirk

Connor MCGowan (26) appeared from custody via video link at Falkirk Sheriff Court on Thursday having pled guilty to engaging in a course of conduct that caused his ex partner fear and alarm between October 10 and October 12 in Wallace Street, Falkirk.

Sheriff Derek Hamilton deferred sentence and released McGowan, 1 Mansion Court, Cambuslang, on bail until January 7 so he could get a Caledonian domestic abuse programme assessment.

He said: “Don’t take that as a get out of jail firee card.”
