Offender ran off during Falkirk drugs search

A man bolted after police stopped and searched him to see if he was carrying any illegal drugs.

Garisanai Chokuona (21) appeared at Falkirk Sheriff Court last Thursday having admitted obstructing and resisting police officers in Merchiston Avenue, Falkirk on May 29 last year.

The court heard a criminal justice social work report for Chokuona, Flat 3, 52 Ferry Road Drive, Edinburgh, had still to completed.

Sheriff Derek Livingston continued the case to April 15 for the report and a restriction of liberty order assessment.
