MP McNally caught up in terror incident

Falkirk's SNP MP John McNally is 'well' after being caught up in the terror incident outside the Houses of Parliament earlier today.

Cheryl Penny, one of the staff at his constituency office in Vicar Street, revealed she called him as the drama at Westminster unfolded at just after 2.45pm and he was able to confirm he was safe and well.

A woman died on Westminster and a police officer was stabbed in the Houses of Parliament. The attacker was shot by police.

A number of other were hurt in the incident.

Cheryl said: “Johnny said he was on his way to the Division Lobby when the incident happened and he and other MPs and their staff were taken to Port Cullis House at Westminster Bridge by police and held there.

“We’re obviously relieved he’s safe and well.”
