More time added on to offender's sentence after Dennyloanhead bail breach

An offender has had further time added on to a prison sentence he’s currently serving after he breached a bail condition.

Brendan Lynn (42) appeared at Falkirk Sheriff Court via a video link from HMP Low Moss on Thursday.

Lynn, Linthaugh Road, Pollok, breached bail, imposed on December 9, 2019, when he entered a Dennyloanhead street on July 18, 2020 that he was ordered to stay away from following a matter involving his former partner.

His defence solicitor told Sheriff Christopher Shead: “He’s in prison for another matter for which he’s to appear on February 4 in relation to a police assault.”

Sheriff Shead originally ordered Lynn to pay a fine of £200.

However, due to his arrest, the court was told Lynn would’ve struggled to pay the fine.

Addressing Sheriff Shead, Lynn said: “I’ve no money in the bank.”

He was instead ordered to serve the alternative of seven days extra in prison.
