Men steal turtles from Longcroft pet shop

An investigation has been launched after two men stole four live turtles from a pet shop.

The reptiles were taken from their tank in Central Aquatics in Longcroft on Saturday afternoon.

The culprits have yet to be identified, however, owner Jason Frew is confident the perpretators will soon be caught.

He said: “We moved the tank to a spot covered by three cameras.

“We were so busy they managed to get past us but we’ve got a video of them leaving and they didn’t realise there were another two cameras.

“We’ve upgraded our security over lockdown and put in security gates and security labels.”
