Man tried to kick and headbutt police in Falkirk street

Joseph Lang (23), of no fixed abode, was stopped by officers in Stewart Road, Falkirk last Thursday night as he drank from a bottle of alcohol.

Lang immediately became hostile and began making a series of threats, which included homophobic remarks, before he was arrested.

A quantity of cannabis was found on his person before Lang attempted to kick and headbutt two police officers.

He appeared from custody at Falkirk Sheriff Court on Monday and pled guilty to the charges against him.

Lang was jailed for four months.
