Man seriously injured in single vehicle crash in Maddiston

Police are appealing for information after a serious road crash involving a single vehicle in Maddiston on Friday night.

Police are appealing for information after a man was seriously injured in an accident in Maddiston

A 44-year-old man was seriously injured after his purple Mini Cooper over turned whilst travelling east on Vellore Road, near to Almond Road at around 10.20pm.

He was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary, where medical staff describe his condition as serious but stable.

The injured man was the sole occupant in the car.Sergeant Jill Kirkpatrick, Edinburgh Road Policing Unit, said: “We are looking to speak to anyone who may have any information relating to this crash."The 44-year-old man has suffered serious injuries are we are asking for assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident."If anyone has any information or possible dashcam footage that could help, please get in contact with officers.”
