Man jailed after stealing vodka and food from Camelon shop

A man has been jailed after he stole vodka and food from a Camelon shop.

Ian McGregor (39), of no fixed abode, pinched the items from the Co-op in Mariner Street on Sunday morning.

He was then found by police in a garden of a home in nearby Union Road at around 11.25am.

Eyewitnesses told officers McGregor had also entered another garden in the same street in an attempt to steal from a property.

McGregor appeared from custody at Falkirk Sheriff Court yesterday, where he was sentenced to 210 days’ imprisonment.
