A man was found with a serious head injury in Stenhousemuir on Saturday night.
He was found outside the Health Centre in Park Drive at around 11.30pm.
Police earlier issued an appeal to members of the public for their help in identifying the man.
It has proven successful and his identity is now known by officers.

Police said the man had been taken to hospital where his condition is described as critical.
