Man charged following attempted murder in Grangemouth

A man has been charged following an attempted murder in Grangemouth.

Police have confirmed a 45-year-old is due to appear at Stirling Sheriff Court tomorrow in connection with an incident which left a 47-year-old man with serious injuries.

The incident took place around 1.15pm yesterday on a footpath in Kingseat Avenue, near to its junction with Bowhouse Road.

The victim was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow.

Detective Inspector Rob Andrews, of Stirling CID, said: “Enquiries into this remain ongoing and I want to thank the local community for their co-operation so far.

“I am appealing to anyone who saw or heard any suspicious activity to contact the police as soon as possible. I would also ask anyone with dash-cam footage who was driving in the area at the time to check back to see if they have captured anything that may be of use to us."
