Man arrested following death of Bainsford dad

A man has been arrested in connection with the “injuries caused” to a Bainsford dad-of-two who died after being released from hospital.

Edward Graham, known as Eddie, was discharged from Forth Valley Royal Hospital on Sunday, May 31, following an early morning incident at a flat in Hayfield, Falkirk on Thursday, May 28.

The 28-year-old was found dead in Bainsford the day after he was released from the Larbert hospital.

Police have now confirmed a man (35) has been charged in relation to the incident on May 28 and is expected to appear in court today.

A spokeswoman said: "We received a report of a disturbance within a property in Hayfield, Falkirk, around 3.10am on Thursday, May 28, 2020.

"A 28-year-old man was seriously injured and taken to Forth Valley Royal Hospital. He left hospital and was found dead at an address in Mungalhead Road, Bainsford, on Monday, June 1.

“A post mortem examination has been completed and the death is being treated as unexplained pending the results of further tests.

"A 35-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the injuries caused to the 28-year-old. He is due to appear at Falkirk Sheriff Court today (June 10, 2020)."
